Richard, the boss
(David H. Lawrence XVII)
David Lawrence is heard nightly
as the wacky, eclectic and highly opinionated host of The
David Lawrence
Show, and weekend Online Tonight, both nationally syndicated radio
talk
shows that revolves around pop culture and the high-tech lifestyle.
The award-winning shows
combine entertainment, information, interviews
and news with the speed and humor of a Top-
40 morning show. The three-hour
daily call-in shows air Monday through Saturday from 10 PM
to 1 AM
ET, and is repeated on Sunday evenings from 10 PM to 1 AM ET, and
is heard on over
80 radio stations, including WGN/Chicago, KFBK/Sacramento,
KNEW/San Francisco as well
as on both Sirius Satellite Radio Talk
Central 148 and XM Radio Extreme XM 152.
"I'm an objectivist,"
says Lawrence. "I scare conservatives with my attitudes, which
revolve
around owning our behavior and actions, and following the
letter of the law. Respect for
other's creations, the unabashed celebration
of capitalism and the pure honesty of living our
lives in a republic
of laws are the cornerstones of my show - and all these people who
rationalize their behavior in the name of pure technology drive me
up a wall. I'm not afraid to
call them on their actions."
The Emmy-award winning and Clio-nominated
Lawrence is deeply rooted in the music industry
as well, and also
anchors The Net Music Countdown. Syndicated on over 70 radio stations
and
both satellite radio services in partnership with United Stations,
the shows countdown the
hottest hits on the Internet, with flavors
for alternative rock, CHR and Hot AC. The shows are
based on in-house
research, and those charts are licensed as their eTracks Charts by
AllAccess.com, for which Lawrence edits the weekly Internet/Digital
Music tracking. The
NMC eTracks Charts are widely considered the official
music charts of the Internet.
Reporters to the eTracks include Apple's
iTunes Music Store, AandE.com Radio, About Radio,
Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com,
BellSouth.com, Bolt Radio, B&N Radio, CDNow.com,
Gracenote/CDDB,
Launch.Yahoo.com, MusicMatch.co, Radio Free Virgin, Radio Lycos, Real
One, Radio@AOL, The RadioAMP Network, and over 40 other performance
licensed
Internet sales and streaming outlets. Both TechTV and CNET use the
NMC top 5 for their
weekly look at Net music popularity.
Lawrence has been on radio for
nearly 30 years as a top rated air personality on stations like
